Location and facilities for Cardington Lock

Carrington Lock is on the Bedford Ouse and was opened in 1963. It is the narrowest lock on the navigation.

Today it is home to the Cardington Canoe Slalom. The slalom is used for both national and international championships.  The Slalom forms part of the Priory Country Park which is 206 acres of open country.
