Get a rod licence
If you are aged 12 or over and want to fish on the River Great Ouse or its tributaries, you must first buy an Environment Agency rod licence.
Once you have your licence, you can join an angling club or find a spot and get permission from a landowner. There are also some areas where you can go fishing for free.

Rod licences are valid from 1 April to 31 March each year.
