St Ives

The pretty river town of St Ives has been attracting visitors for more than 1,000 years.

The most famous landmark of St Ives is the unusual bridge with a midstream chapel that crosses the River Great Ouse. The chapel on the bridge is one of only three bridge chapels in the country. It was consecrated in 1426 and was completely restored in 1930. The chapel is now open to the public and is an interesting historic site in the town.

As a market town, there's lots of places to shop in St Ives, plus a wide variety of places to eat to suit all tastes and pockets. If you fancy getting a little more energetic you can visit the St Ives 9-hole golf course, or head towards the St Ivo Leisure Centre.

There's also many neighbouring villages along the Great Ouse that you can explore.
