Boat Watch Scheme
Boat Watch is a free scheme that has been set up in several counties to help tackle waterway-related crime. When you register your boat, you can also register with the scheme.
To be part of the scheme all you have to do is report every incident of crime and disorder you experience on the waterways. Also as a boat owner display the Boat Watch sticker that you receive when you sign up. By displaying the sticker you show potential thieves that boat owners are united in the fight against water related crime.
The more the police and partners know about crime happening on the waterways, the more resources will be allowed to tackle and prevent it from happening.
