Cycle trip around Priory Park

Day out cyclingPaul and Jessica, along with their three children, enjoyed an activity-filled day cycling around Priory Park and Danes Camp near the River Great Ouse. Jessica tells us more.

We always get out and about in the summer months but our New Year resolution has been to get outside more throughout the whole year.

Although a bit delayed because of the snow at the beginning of the year, we went down to Priory Park with our bikes and cycled along to Danes Camp.

When did you do it?

We all went cycling at the end of February 2009.

What did you like most?

For Paul and I, it was great to get the kids away from the computer and enjoying the fresh air. They all had new bikes for Christmas so it was a good chance for them to get outside and test them out. For the children though, I think they would all say the best thing was the icecream that they tucked into when we got to Danes Camp.

It's worth knowing that Priory Park do hire-out bikes, so if you don't have them there is nothing stopping you from doing the route we did. However if you go on a windy day like we did, make sure you take a pair of gloves to keep your fingers warm!
